*Watch for calculator sales at local stores in August. If ordering online, order early in the summer because they get back ordered.

The calculators recommended below are the calculators that teachers will be using to demonstrate and model in class. Students who choose to have a different type or brand of calculator are responsible for knowing how to use it.

Course: Algebra Concepts courses, Algebra 1, Honors Algebra 1, Geometry

• TI-30 Calculator; Approximate Cost: $20

Course: Honors Geometry, Algebra 2, Honors Pre-Calculus, College Algebra & Trig (CAT), Mathematical Decision Making (MDM), Trig and Differential Calculus, Calculus AB or BC, AP Statistics

•  Any version of the TI-84 Series (TI-84, TI-84 Plus, TI-84 Plus Silver, Tl-84 Plus C Silver); Approximate Cost: $125
• TI84 EVO: This is the new calculator on the market. At this time, it is being advertised as ACT and AP approved. However, those institutions have not confirmed this approval. $160
• We realize this is an expensive calculator. However, students will use them every day for numerous courses and will find them to be available tool on all exams including the ACT and other standardized tests.
